As part of the 2022 UOB (United Overseas Bank) Global Heartbeat Run/Walk, the New York and Los Angeles offices raised US$5,100 (S$7,250) for Laptops 4 Learning (L4L) through contributions by associates and matching funds from the Bank. L4L, which is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, provides laptops at little to no charge for children without the financial means. In 2021, L4L provided laptops to 1,060 students to bridge the digital divide. UOB's contribution enabled L4L to purchase 25 laptops for students. On 11 October 2022, Mr. Brian Ike from UOB's New York office, visited the Reach Basketball camp in Chandler, Arizona. The camp was being held at a junior high school during the school Fall Break. Reach Basketball teaches basketball skills as well as life skills such as communication, responsibility and

teamwork, to students from kindergarten through eighth grade, many from disadvantaged economic backgrounds. L4L has partnered with Reach Basketball for many years. Using donations from the UOB fundraiser, the organizations were able to present laptops to 25 deserving participants n this year's basketball camp.
