El problema
La falta de acceso a computadoras portátiles entre los estudiantes económicamente desfavorecidos crea brechas de oportunidades basadas en los ingresos, lo que contribuye a la brecha digital.

Nuestra VISIÓN es proporcionar a los estudiantes las computadoras portátiles de calidad y asequibles que necesitan para tener éxito en sus estudios y en la vida. L4L cree que a ningún estudiante se le debe negar el acceso a una computadora portátil simplemente porque no puede costearla.
La solución

Laptops 4 Learning (L4L) es una organización sin fines de lucro 501(c)(3), creada para hacer que la tecnologÃa sea asequible y accesible, poniendo computadoras portátiles al alcance de estudiantes y veteranos con dificultades económicas. Creemos que las computadoras portátiles ya no son un lujo en el mundo tecnológico actual, sino una necesidad para la educación, las oportunidades y, en definitiva, un futuro mejor para los niños.

Greg Powell
Executive Director
Following a 40-year career in technology sales, sales management, and channel program development, Greg joined Laptops 4 Learning (L4L) in 2018. His primary goal was to help transform the organization into a nonprofit, guided by a dedication to bridging the digital divide that affects students from underserved, low to moderate-income backgrounds. Becoming a nonprofit marked a significant turning point for L4L, allowing the organization to expand its community reach and impact.
In January 2023, Greg stepped into the role of Executive Director at Laptops 4 Learning. Leveraging his expertise in business development, he has focused on building a robust donor network for the organization. His efforts are centered on developing activities and strategies to ensure stable and sustainable growth which will ensure that L4L continues to equip an increasing number of students with the essential technology skills required for academic achievement and lifelong success, regardless of their financial circumstances. This commitment allows L4L to remain steadfast in its mission to provide equitable access to technology for students in need.


Trina Curry, a St. Petersburg, FL native, moved to Arizona during her U.S. Air Force career. She holds degrees in Occupational Education, Organizational Management, Divinity, and Theology. Trina has worked with Maricopa County Human Services, Arizona Women’s Education & Employment, and Homeward Bound. Passionate about God, education, and helping others, she lives in Waddell, AZ, with her husband. She enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, trivia, traveling, and adventures.

Beverly West
Board Member
Beverly is a seasoned business professional with a rich background, boasting over twenty years of experience as an entrepreneur. Specializing in Organizational Leadership and Behavior, she leverages her expertise to mentor small and medium-sized businesses in the realms of finance, accounting, and human resources. Alongside her professional endeavors, Beverly shares a fulfilling life with her husband, Ross, and takes pride in raising two inspiring adult sons.
During her leisure hours, she finds joy in activities such as reading, event coordination and planning, and indulging in her passion for interior design. These pursuits serve as creative outlets that allow her to express herself fully.

Ezra Williams
Board Member

Ezra Williams is an experienced professional with a unique blend of business and technical expertise. He has over 27 years of experience in the technology industry, with roles spanning engineering, product management, and sales, working with Hewlett Packard, Intel Corporation and Onsemi. Ezra has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Arizona. Ezra is passionate about football and has volunteered for numerous years as a coach in the local community. In addition to work and football, Ezra is also a husband and father. In his spare time, he enjoys learning Spanish, promoting financial literacy and is an avid distance runner.

Selina Canty

Selina is a graduate of Arizona State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and has over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry. In her career, she gained experience in project management, strategic planning, process development, and event planning. Selina enjoys mentoring young professionals, live music, outdoor activities and spending time with family.

Evelyn Baymon
Board Member
Evelyn Baymon has been in the IT industry for 40 years. Currently, she is the Vmware Learning Manager for the Americas West. She is a graduate of Western New England University in Massachusetts, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering. Evelyn enjoys traveling, jazz, and spending time with her family.

Eddie Little
Board Member
​Eddie is the Senior Director of Enterprise Operations at SwitchThink Solutions, an IT services organization. His IT experience spans over 14 years with companies such as Desert Schools Credit Union, Love Outreach Housing and Community Centers, Sherwood Food Distributors, and Fiserv Galaxy Plus. Eddie is also a Certified Coach, Teacher, and Speaker trained by the John Maxwell Company.

Pamela Williams
Board Member
Pamela L. Reynolds brings a wealth of strategic leadership and operational expertise to the board, with a distinguished career managing Project Management Offices (PMOs) for several Fortune 500 companies. With a strong track record of driving enterprise-wide initiatives, optimizing project delivery frameworks, and fostering cross-functional collaboration, Pamela has consistently delivered measurable business value across complex organizational landscapes.
She holds an MBA from Arizona State University and resides in Arizona, where she enjoys the natural beauty of the Southwest. In her leisure time, Pamela is an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, often exploring the region’s scenic trails and landscapes.
Her deep experience in corporate governance, project execution, and organizational transformation makes her a valuable asset to any board focused on innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth.

The L4L Story
La historia de L4L
En 2015, el fundador de Laptops 4 Learning, Dwayne Baker, reconoció la necesidad de que los estudiantes a los que asesoraba tuvieran acceso a la tecnologÃa para acceder a oportunidades educativas y laborales. Observó que, para muchos estudiantes, los recursos tecnológicos proporcionados por la escuela eran las únicas herramientas disponibles para mantenerse al dÃa con sus tareas. Como veterano, el Sr. Baker también querÃa ayudar a sus compañeros veteranos a buscar oportunidades educativas y laborales.
Baker fundó L4L como respuesta directa a los estudiantes que conoció y a los veteranos militares que no tenÃan los medios para obtener una computadora portátil. Esta iniciativa se ha convertido en una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a proporcionar esta herramienta tecnológica esencial a cualquier estudiante y veterano que necesite apoyo. Los estudiantes y veteranos pueden crear una cuenta en el sitio web de L4L para solicitar donaciones deducibles de impuestos de familiares, amigos y miembros de la comunidad. En cuanto el estudiante genere o autofinancie el costo total de la computadora portátil, se le entrega.
