Laptops 4 Learning generously supplied South Pointe Elementary School with a remarkable total of 140 laptops. South Pointe Elementary is a tuition-free public charter school, dedicated to serving students and families in the South Phoenix area from kindergarten to fifth grade. Following the return to in-person classes, school administrators and teachers observed a decline in student attendance. In response, the school implemented a program to acknowledge and reward students with attendance rates exceeding 90%. This initiative aimed to motivate and recognize the students' commitment to their education. Mrs. Delores Bell, the school's principal, expressed her appreciation, stating, "The devices received from L4L greatly assist our students in achieving academic success."
To make this program possible, South Pointe Elementary students made a noteworthy contribution of $25 towards the cost of the laptops. The remaining expenses for the program were covered by generous donations from VMWare employees, a matching gift from the VMWare Foundation, and private contributions. The collective support from these sources ensured the success of the initiative, benefiting the students of South Pointe Elementary School.
