L4L in Fountain Hills

Laptops 4 Learning, a Phoenix-based nonprofit committed to providing laptop computers to economically disadvantaged students and military veterans, recently visited Fountain Hills. Over the past two weeks, the organization distributed 53 laptops during events at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, McDowell Mountain Elementary School, and Fountain Hills Middle School. These laptops will help students complete homework, write papers, and manage other academic responsibilities. Thanks to generous grants from Desert Financial Credit Union and other community-focused organizations, the cost of the devices was significantly reduced. With the holidays approaching, the timing of this initiative couldn’t have been better!
