Phoenix based Laptops 4 Learning is grateful to receive the 1st Quarter, 2024 Impact Award from The Giving Group Arizona.
The Giving Group AZ meets every 90 days to hear speakers from 4 local nonprofits and then votes on who will win a $10,000 donation from the group (all members donate $100 person). One of the group’s members, Lauree Griffis, nominated Laptops 4 Learning and they received the $10,000 donation. L4L’s mission is to make technology affordable and available by putting laptops in the hands of economically disadvantaged students and veteran.
On this night, they had 177 attendees, so had an extra $7,005 above the $10k, so the 3 runner-up nonprofits got to split the $7,005 between them. Everyone wins J
One of the coolest parts of The Giving Group AZ is that as individuals, we only spend $100, but as a group we get the feeling of what it’s like to make a $10,000 donation.
